I'm learning to paint again because they taught us some odd, untrue things at school that kinda made me unable to paint properly. I started off with your basic 'swirl some colour on' sunset and have built up to doing shapes with that now. Next it's a town with a Christmas tree in it. This was copied from a postcard. I put it above the light in my bedroom, and I think you get a bit of that lighting effect. The colours show slightly paper than they are

This brings back childhood memories!!! ^w^ Me and my sister RAN the whole way up for cross country practice or something XD haha!

I love the progression of red through to yellow... you somehow did it without getting an "orangey" band showing it between the two, it's a really good fade down and makes it more realistic ^^ And I like how the horizon line isn't completely smooth, it suggests volume to the hillside and foliage. The tower itself looks great, really angular and stands out to the curved, zigzagging lines for its precision.

*is waffling* So yeah.... basically-- I love it!!! :heart:

That's a TOUGH school. Thanks, that's EXACTLY what I was trying to do. And there's no waffling, it's sometimes nice to get a more detailed reply than. "It'a pretty. Can I eat it?"
